LCHS projects for 2015-2016

PROJECTS

The Lake Creek Historical Society Board of Directors have voted to work on four projects this year and into 2016. We are needing volunteers and donations for these projects. If you should be interested in helping in any of these projects please call the office. 541-826-1513

SEPTIC SYSTEM

The septic system has not been maintained for 25 years. Bill Frazier has offered to do the job at no charge, but is asking the LCHS to purchase all the material that might be needed. He also might need some volunteers to help with this project.

STREET LIGHTS

We have had street lights donated to us from the SOHS that were in the Hawthorn Park, in Medford, around the early 1930’s. If you wish to see the lights they are laying on the back deck. We want to install these lights in the park, that way we can have night events. Since the wiring is old they will need to be rewired and will need new globes. If you know of any electrician that would be willing to donate their time to help us, in this project, that would be wonderful. Volunteers are needed to help with this project also.

PIONEER HALL

The outside of the PIONEER HALL building and decks, have not been oil sealed for many years. So to preserve the wood we need to have this done. We are also looking for some old lumber, so we can replace a few bad boards. We are hoping that a few volunteers would like to help in this project.

TO VOLUNTEER YOU NEED NOT LIVE IN THE AREA!   PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
